Aurora Cannabis Inc. (OTCQB: ACBFF) announced on July 5th the company has entered into a supply agreement with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission (AGLC). Aurora will supply the AGLC with cannabis products that are for adult recreational cannabis market sales. The initial AGLC supply agreement is 25,000 kg of cannabis in the first 6 months.
Aurora Cannabis has three cannabis cultivation facilities in Alberta. The three facilities, Aurora Sky, Mountain, and Sun have a combined production capability of over 250,000 kg a year.
Aurora Cannabis will make one of the biggest contributions to ensuring that the adult consumer market, which is separate from the medical cannabis market, will have enough cannabis to meet the demand. The company is currently the largest provider for medical cannabis patients in Alberta.
