347_mainLas Vegas-based CV Sciences, Inc (OTCQB: CVSI) a supplier of hemp-based CBD consumer products in the US—including one of the leading brands, PlusCBD Oil™—announced that it was certified from the US Hemp Authority™ Guidance Program.

CV Sciences is up 1000% in the past year, from $0.41 $4.50 today. It was not pushed higher on this news, as the certification program is still new and not widely known.

CV Sciences is one of the first companies to meet the stringent self-regulatory standards and pass a third party audit. The achievement is largely a result of CV Sciences’ “seed to shelf” quality management system in its supply chain.

The US Hemp Authority Certified program, established in 2018, was developed by the US Hemp Roundtable to ensure consistent quality. It educates hemp farmers and product producers in FDA current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). It is administered by experienced verification professionals from leading food and agricultural companies.

It also gives law enforcement officials confidence that products are made from legal hemp and not genetic strains of marijuana.

CV Sciences, Inc. operates two business segments: a consumer product division focused on manufacturing and selling plant-based CBD products (PlusCBD Oil™) to consumers nationwide, and a drug development division that is developing novel therapeutics using synthetic CBD.
