The CBD Guys disrupt Australian Medicinal Cannabis Market with launch of their first brand, Humacology — Affordable medicinal cannabis for every Australian patient has arrived.
NOOSA HEADS, Queensland, Australia – Go-to market medicinal cannabis specialists The CBD Guys have launched their first brand – Humacology – to Australian patients, with four CBD-based oils available on the Special Access or Authorised Prescriber Schemes.

Noted medicinal cannabis doctor Dr. Crosby Rechtin, The CBD Guys’ Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer, says Humacology will present a retail price of 14%-28% less than current price leaders and 32%-57% less than the industry averages for similar medicines.
“For too long, Australian patients have been paying too much for medicinal cannabis,” Dr. Rechtin said. “It’s by far the biggest frustration my patients have in getting the medicine they desperately need.”
Dr. Rechtin says many patients end up dosing themselves with less than what has been prescribed to make their costly prescription last longer, something that can often impact the medicine’s effectiveness. “If they can’t afford to take the correct dose of CBD – or any medicine for that matter – they’re not giving the medicine the chance to do what it’s been designed to do.”
The THC and CBD in Humacology oils are extracted at a state-of-the-art U.S.A-based facility co-owned by James Dale, CEO of The CBD Guys and co-founder of Humacology.

“The U.S. market is probably 10 years ahead of the Australian market – in extraction methods, lab testing and formulating techniques. It is this direct-to-consumer model that allows Humacology to enter the market at a disruptive price point. Humacology is launching with four CBD-based oils: a 0:100 CBD isolate, a 1:100, a 5:100 and a 27:27 balance product, all containing the plant’s natural terpenes and a majority delta 8 THC.
“I formulated our four Humacology oils specifically for Australian patients’ needs,” Dr. Rechtin said. “I added delta 8 THC to give the smoothest possible and broadly beneficial effect, which is especially important for patients who might be hesitant to take medicinal cannabis because of side-effects like paranoia and increased appetite that some experience from delta 9 THC.”
Part of The CBD Guys’ strategy to ensure success in the Australian market was to enlist Health House International Limited (ASX:HHI) as exclusive distributors, with whom they signed a two-year deal earlier this year.
