SOL Global Expands to California with $137 Million Northern Emeralds Acquisition
SOL Global Investments Corp. (CSE: SOL) (OTCQB: SOLCF) (Frankfurt: 9SB) is set to enter the California market with its acquisition of ECD, Inc., which operates as Northern Emeralds (“Northern Emeralds”), a cultivation, processing and distribution company headquartered in Humboldt County, California.
ECD Inc. currently operates 6 licensed dispensary companies in California. With the acquisition, SOL Global Investments Corp will bring ECD’s dispensaries under its “One Plant” brand. Long term plans include opening additional licensed dispensaries in California, Florida, and Michigan.
SOL Global intends to establish a separate multi-state operator (“MSO”). It plans to bring Northern Emeralds’ 6 One Plant California dispensaries along with Michigan-based MCP Wellness Inc. and Sol Global existing Florida-based cannabis company, 3 Boys Farms under one roof.

Northern Emeralds currently operates a cannabis production and distribution facility in the Emerald Triangle in Humboldt County, California. It is also known for its high-quality cannabis flower strains, namely its Titan OG, OK Sapphire Kush, and Durban Poison strains.

Northern Emeralds has a combined 35,000 square feet of cultivation, production, and distribution facilities and produces more than 16,000 pounds per year. SOL Global Investments Corp. plans to tap into Northern Emeralds expertise, integrating this into all of MSO’s “One Plant” dispensaries in Florida, Michigan, and California.
With SOL Global Investments Corp recent acquisitions, it will now be able to operate in additional locations in Michigan, California, and Florida. “One Plant” will give customers access to some of the best-known brands in the cannabis industry including products from Northern Emeralds, Honey, Plus Brands, Venice Cookie Company, Old Pal, DomPen, Big Pete’s, Biscotti, and Cannabis Quencher, to name a few. One Plant intends to open nine dispensaries throughout California in 2019, and an additional eleven dispensaries in the state in 2020.
