The Nova Scotia Liquor Corp. released their designs and sales methods for their physical cannabis store locations. Nova Scotia’s stores will sell both alcohol and cannabis products.
Locations that are already conducting alcohol sales will be re-designed to include a cannabis products section and checkout aisles. The cannabis sections will be separated by opaque glass and have its own entrance. Minors will not be allowed to enter the cannabis section even if accompanied by legal guardian or parent.
The minimum age for purchasing cannabis products in these locations is 19. Anyone 19 or over is able to buy a max of 30 grams per visit.
Customers and patients will need a government issued photo ID at checkout in order to purchase cannabis. Credit cards that offer rewards like cash back or airline miles will not qualify because promotions are not allowed on cannabis purchases.
