The Michigan Board of State Canvassers is set to discuss the framework and wording of the recreational cannabis proposal that will be voted on in November of this year. The board is required to approve the language before it can be submitted to the ballot for Michigan voters.

This recreational cannabis proposal originated from 365,000 signatures that were certified by the Board in April.

The proposal would legalize the purchase and use of recreational cannabis for people aged 21 or older, allow the personal cultivation of 12 cannabis plants, and limit home possession to 10 ounces.
