Honey Bees Create Cannabis Honey through Biological Trick

By November 20, 2018 No Comments

The honey bee is, without a doubt, has played a key role in the life cycle of numerous flower varieties. Throughout a honey bee’s day it’ll visit dozens, if not hundreds, of flowers and these honey bees are no different. PhytoPharma International’s honey bees produce honey that is set apart from the rest of the buzzing insect kingdom due to its cannabinoid properties, such as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), which is the cannabinoid that does not produce a psychoactive effect, unlike THC. The company achieved this cannabinoid-rich honey through a process where the honey bees consume a created food amalgam that contains cannabidiols within it.

The process that the bees go through to create the honey is completely natural. A honey bee does not have a mammalian endocannabinoid system within its insect structure to process or utilize cannabinoids of any kind. This makes the Pure Bee honey product an entirely naturally made cannabis honey that does not use any injected or infused cannabis to create it. PhytoPharma’s harvested cannabinoid honey is then sold in sets of six or three pre-measured cooking syringes. Pure Bee CBD syringes come in .5 mg per gram and the psychoactive THC variant comes in at 0.7 mg per gram.
