Toronto-based Hiku Brands (CSE: HIKU), announced its subsidiary DOJA Cannabis, a licensed cannabis producer, has completed the pre-sales license inspection of its West Kelowna, British Columbia facility. This is the last step before receiving a Sales License.
DOJA has two production facilities in British Columbia. The company also operates a network of retail stores selling coffee, clothing and curated accessories across British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
Through its subsidiaries, Hiku is focused on handcrafted cannabis production, building brands and a great retail experience. With DOJA’s craft-quality cannabis production, Tokyo Smoke’s retail network, and Van Der Pop female-focused educational platforms, Hiku is building the foundation for a unique cannabis brand in Canada.
On February 16, Hiku’s wholly-owned subsidiary, TS Brandco Holdings, owner of Tokyo Smoke, was conditionally awarded one of four master retail licenses in Manitoba. This allows Tokyo Smoke to run retail cannabis stores and an online cannabis sales platform in Manitoba. With this win, Hiku plans to accelerate expansion and pursue additional licensing across the country under the Tokyo Smoke and DOJA brands to create a national presence.
Hiku has supply partnerships with Aphria Inc. and WeedMD Inc. to ensure its brands will be fully supplied in 2018 and beyond.
