Canopy Growth Corporation (NYSE: CGC) announced on July 5th an introduction for the company’s subsidiary, Latin American affiliate Canopy Corporation (Canopy LATAM) and the acquisition of Spectrum Cannabis Colombia S.A.S (Spectrum Cannabis Colombia). Canopy LATAM is a fully controlled and owned subsidiary of Canopy Growth. Through this subsidiary Canopy Growth Corporation was able to acquire Spectrum Cannabis Colombia.
Spectrum Cannabis’ headquarters is located in the state of Huila and averages 280 days of sun per year. The company owns a uniquely located 13.5 million sq. ft. farm that is supplied with water from a naturally occurring lagoon. Out of the 13.5 million sq. ft. the company is licensed to cultivate 4.5 million sq. ft. of cannabis and hemp.
