Vancouver-based Cannabis Wheaton (TSX-V:CBW) announced a binding interim supply agreement allowing Wheaton to purchase cannabis from Aphria (TSX:APH) (OTCQB:APHQF).

Aphria will supply Navisent Inc., a subsidiary of Wheaton, with up to 60,000 kilograms of cannabis between now and February, 2022, for international distribution channels.

Securing the supply allows Wheaton to accelerate its international distribution strategy by 12-18 months.

Hugo Alves, President of Wheaton Income, said, “…We are thrilled to be partnering with … Aphria as we begin to execute our international strategy… With over 800 million people residing throughout legalized cannabis jurisdictions globally and an addressable global medical market size expected to exceed $30 billion by 2021, this agreement …allows us to meaningfully participate…12 to 18 months ahead of schedule.”
