In a remarkable show of support across country boundaries, Toronto-based Liberty Health Sciences (CSE:LHS) (OTCBB: SCQBD), an investor and operator in the medical cannabis market with strong presence in Florida, today pledged 10% of revenues for two months to Florida’s Red Cross to help victims of Hurricane Irma.
“Our hearts go out to all those affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma and we are committed to providing support to ensure that local residents…stay safe.” Stated Liberty CEO George Scorsis.
The contribution shows how integral cannabis companies are becoming to their local community’s economy and culture.
Liberty also announced that its own facilities and production processes in Alachua FLA were not damaged by the storm. Business operations there resumed with the exception of deliveries, which will resume when safe.
Liberty’s Part 2 expansion plans for the Alachua plant remains on track. The expansion, to be complete by January 2018, will increase Liberty’s annual medical cannabis production to 2,800 kgs.
