Aurora Cannabis Inc. (NYSE: ACB) announced on November 5th that the company has officially opened its newest cultivation facility, Aurora Eau, that will cultivate premium cannabis indoors. The facility is located in Canada, specifically Lachute, Quebec, and has become the company’s most elite cultivation facility with the latest in technology for cannabis production. Aurora Eau comes in at 48,000 sq. ft. with an estimated yearly production capacity of up to 4,500kg of premium quality cannabis. It is also reported that the technologically advanced, expansive, and the second cannabis production facility in Quebec under Aurora Cannabis, will produce cannabis with some of the lowest costs of electricity that can be found in North America. Aurora Cannabis’ first cannabis cultivation facility in Quebec, Aurora Vie, comes in at 8,000 sq. ft. less than Aurora Eau’s 48,000 sq. ft. facility that contains 11 cultivation rooms.

The standards that Aurora Eau’s facility comply to, specifically European Union GMP standards, means that Aurora Eau will continue to provide the region with more than 100 full-time jobs for Lachute residents that are locals to the facility.  It is estimated that the company put more than $12 million into the community throughout the construction phase.
