Aurora Cannabis Inc. (OTCQB: ACBFF) announced on August 14th that the previously announced acquisition of Anandia Laboratories Inc. has officially completed. All issued and outstanding shares of Anandia have been acquired by Aurora.
Anandia Laboratories will strengthen Aurora’s scientific research and development projects and will add new methods of income. The company can gain revenue from offering laboratory services to other cannabis companies. Lab services include tissue cultures, off-site genetic back-ups, genetic screening and testing, and predictive profiling that aims to provide an early insight on future levels of cannabinoids and terpenes.
A new location for Anandia is being built minutes away from an airport on Vancouver Island. The facility’s greenhouse will be 22,500 sq. ft. and a 10,000 sq. ft. laboratory section of the location will be home to Aurora’s cannabis genetics and propagation program.
