Vancouver, BC-based Choom Holdings (OTCQB: CHOOF) (CSE: CHOO) an emerging cannabis company building a very large cannabis retail network in Canada, bought Clarity Cannabis Medical Centre Inc. to enter the medical cannabis market.
Choom CEO Chris Bogart stated, “Our goal is to build a dominant national cannabis retail brand. The acquisition of Clarity Medical Centers allows Choom to serve the entire Canadian cannabis market, beyond just the adult use channel…”
The acquisition includes five new medical centers along with a telemedicine platform that provides education, access, and expertise for referring patients in the use of medical cannabis. Their approach makes it simple for new patients to access legal medical cannabis in Canada.
Clarity’s team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and coaches will educate patients about medical cannabis as an alternative to pharmaceuticals. People buy cannabis for chronic pain, PTSD, seizures, tremors, and general anxiety.
Under Dr. Jean Paul Lim, an internal medicine specialist, Clarity Medical Centers will study the effects of medical cannabis and build evidence on cannabis as a treatment through by collecting patient data.
Choom will draw on the medical expertise from the clinics for customer marketing. The Clarity Medical clinic model is scalable, domestically and internationally, and adds a revenue stream to Choom.
