Aphria Inc. (APHQF) announced on April 25th that the company has appointedits first Chief Commercial Officer and their first Chief Legal Officer as well as several other new appointments to managerial positions within the company. Jakob Ripshtein and Christelle Gedeon will be the first Chief Commercial and Legal officers within Aphria.
Jakob will be operating out of Toronto and is an integral asset in the development of planning strategy for sales and marketing. He spent 10 years as a Chief Financial Officer for Diageo North America and also served as the President of Diageo’s Canada-based company.
As Chief Legal Officer Christelle will provide Aphria with a wide range of knowledge in regulation requirements within the cannabis industry in Canada. Before this appointment Christelle was a Partner at Fasken where she primarily worked within the life sciences industry and advised on intellectual property (IP) dealings. She also holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology.
