Canopy Growth Corporation (NYSE: CGC) announced on June 7th that the company has entered into an agreement with Molecular Science Corp. (MSC) to further the advancement of cannabis testing. The two companies will work to advance and invent new standardized methods to test for potency, terpene profile, pesticides, heavy metals, and mycotoxins as required by Health Canada.
Canopy Growth and MSC are focused on the goal of improving the available information for patients so they can make informed decisions on what cannabis product is right for them.
MSC will provide two skilled scientists, a fully developed mobile testing lab, and testing equipment. The mobile lab from MSC is a first for the medical cannabis industry and will operate as an extension of Canopy Growth.
Canopy Growth will provide use of its Health Canada certified laboratory, national infrastructure, market knowledge, and its supply of a wide range of medical cannabis for testing.
