Officials of the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) have changed the policy on cannabis when flying out of LAX. Under the new policy change LAX will now no longer perform arrests or confiscations of cannabis unless the amount exceeds the legal limit in California.
The new policy allows for passengers who are over the age of 21 to fly with up to 28.5 grams of cannabis and 8 grams in concentrates.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which is separate from LAX police, is still able to deny boarding, but police will not confiscate the cannabis unless the amount is excessive.
